diy : a felt obsession #1

This week's diy comes to you as courtesy of a great find by my dear friend, Kirsten. She found a massive garbage bag of felt at a garage sale for a couple of bucks & shared the love with me and we just fell in loveeeee with this stuff. Felt is amazing to work with! Cheap, fun, and there's so many awesome things you can do with this stuff without needing to sew, perfect for a quick diy!
For this cute diy, all you need is: felt, good scissors, a glue gun, and buttons!

First, cut a circle out of the felt about the size of your palm (but really, it can be whatever size you'd like!) Then create a spiral cut out of your circular piece of felt. From that spiral, trim out semi circles.

Then line the inside edge of your spiral with hot glue and then from the inside out, start twirling & gluing down the edges to create your flower! For the final part of this diy, I cut out some leaf shapes out of different coloured felt and then glue gunned the flower & leaves to a little hair clip and added a cute little button to the middle to polish off the look.

Aren't these just precious? I think they'd look adorable in hair, clipped to sweaters, scarves, pinned to headbands & hats, or attached to purses or anything really. The possibilities are endless!
What would you do with bundles & bundles of felt?
